what we think about year 6 in room 16

term 1 by Jemimah
This year has been the best year ever; these are some of our feelings thoughts and facts.
I think everyone in room 16 would agree that in term 1 the greatest opportunity was camp whanawhana. This camp taught us leadership skills learning skills and it taught us to join in and try new activities. After camp the leaders were chosen to lead the school in many different ways. In the middle of term 1 the choir orchestra and kapa haka started that was a great way to try new things. Suddenly everyone started to talk about the dance festival and lots of girls decided to have fun and being in a dance group and going to the dance festival. This year has definitely been the best year of our school life and we have made great friends with everyone in the class.

In term 2 some of the opportunities that have come our way are; Suzanne Prentice coming in the top 10 for the cross Country and getting through to the inter school for swimming and many more. I think everyone shares the same feelings as me, happy, excited, and nervous and many more feelings. This year we have had the BEST teacher ever Miss Northe who has pushed me and other to the limit in term 2 like, my leadership skills so I can improve on leading my house and my class mates to expire and excel.

Term 3 finally arrived we were all excited a nervous for the new challenges to come. Such as the production Rex Graham cup and inter school. Things were definitely not the same as term 1 and 2.People were running around like crazy trying to get to each practise. The production was very successful and it taught us lots of skills including responsibility skills. The production wasn’t as easy as taking your words home and learning them you had to show up at every practise and show Mrs Glen what your made of. Term 3 was challenging fun and exciting. I couldn't’t wait for the next term to come.
term 4 by Natasja
Term 4 is probably the most special term of all because of all the special moments, trips, awards and celebrations. It’s when you work your hardest and at the same time do all the stuff you don’t normally do every day. Some of the fun trips we have been on for term4 were are the rotary track and the exciting trips to the gannets. We enjoyed doing the safe cycling, learning to put our helmets on properly, doing bike checks, cycling around the field and simply just for fun. We were all challenged by athletics, and testing .The end of year assembly was long and hot but still worth it. The end of term 4 was very sad but was filled with great moments to remember forever. Thank you H.N.P.S for all the opportunities this year.
