The netball game
I soared towards the ball hoping to catch it. I did. My stomach was aching, my feet were groaning and my arms were screaming but I was still trying my best. The ball flew down the court and into the goal circle. Julia lifted her arms to shoot. We all stood there hoping it would get in. GOAL! We all hi fived each other and headed back to our positions. Irongate were suddenly catching up as our defence was not strong enough. We needed to try harder. The whistle blew to tellus that it was the end of the 3rd quarter. Our coach gave us some advice and tips before we went back on. "Time to take the court girls," said the ref as she held the whistle firmly n her hand. Our defence was strong and or goals were going in by the minute. Our game was back to normal. The whistle blew for the end of the end of the game. We ran over to our coach to hear the score. "The final score was 26-14 to us," said the coach with a big smile on her face. We gathered round to do our cheers. "3 cheers for Irongate, hip hooray, hip hooray, hip hooray, and 1 for the ref, hip hooray, and 1 for us, hip hooray," we said while our faces were bright red and sweat dripped down our face. What a game!
